Heyyyyy!
It’s so crazy how every time I sit down to write all I can think is,”Wow, so much happened in a week. Where do I even start?”
Life in Colombia has been filled with so much growth. I’ve been learning how to live at a slower pace of life and enjoy the quiet moments curled up on the couch with a friend drinking coffee and reading the same book, slow bakery mornings with a fresh muffin, worship music, and my Bible, watching the sunsets from the rooftop, bringing back my love for watercoloring and enjoying how the sound of laughter echos through the floors. Learning the art of noticing and cherishing the seemingly meaningless things.
We’ve been spending a lot of time pouring into our team and learning how to love each other well because as you can imagine sometimes living with 40 people isn’t always easy. It has it’s challenges for sure and learning how to navigate those tough conversations of calling people higher, and knowing when to speak and when to stay silent.Something the Lord has been calling me to through this is being willing to say the hard things and willing to sit in the uncomfortable when it’s not received immediately. He created me with the gifts I have for a reason to be used to help the body and has been showing the harm in not using what He gave me. It’s been so beautiful to also watch my teammates step into the gifts God created them with and how much unity comes from that!
A small glimpse into my week…
We went to an elderly care home and painted nails, braided hair, colored, played music, and danced. We had so much fun with these sweet people!!

We hiked the mountain on our adventure day, 8 miles 5 hours!!

My team and I sketched and painted designs in the women’s and men’s church bathroom.

Finally found a dog i could pet. 🙂

A verse the Lord has encouraged me with recently. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,”plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. “I will be found by you”, declares the Lord,”and will bring you back from captivity.” Jeremiah 29:11-14
That’s all for now! As always prayers are greatly appreciated!
Until next time, Amanda
